UDON Entertainment and ShiftyLook are proud to present the long-awaited graphic novel, Wonder Momo: Battle Idol Volume 1 — the webcomic inspiration for the new Wonder Momo anime and video game!

wondermomo_cutMomoko was a typical Japanese teenager with dreams of becoming a famous pop idol… until an alien powersuit transformed her into the spectacular WONDER MOMO! This buxom new superhero punches, kicks, and hula hoops her way through monsters, henchmen, robots, and her most dangerous foe… the dreaded paparazzi!

Inspired by classic and contemporary sentai shows like Kamen Rider and Power Rangers, as well as beloved “Magical Girl” shows like Sailor MoonWonder Momo: Battle Idol is a loving tribute to Japanese superheroes from TV, manga, and of course video games! The writing team of Jim Zub (Skullkickers, Wayward, Pathfinder) and Erik Ko (UDON Editor-in-Chief and sentai superfan) takes the classic video game character into 21st century Tokyo. They are joined by artist extraordinare Omar Dogan, who brings a pitch-perfect anime style to the heroine and her (mis)adventures.

WONDER MOMO: BATTLE IDOL VOLUME 1 collects over 100 strips from the hit webcomic, detailing the teen girl’s rise to superstardom! Also included are copious amounts of rough concept sketches and behind-the-scenes materials, bonus tribute art and pin-ups, a history of Wonder Momo, and an introduction by Erik Ko!

Magical girls, super sentai, and epic heroes and villains are all on display in Wonder Momo: Battle Idol Volume 1! Fans: DON’T MISS OUT!
