The number one question we get asked here at UDONcrew HQ is “Why does Amazon now say this book is coming out in December?” Now it’s not always Amazon, sometimes it’s BookDepot or Barnes and Noble, and it’s not always December (sometimes it’s 2014). But generally, a book that has a regular release date will suddenly be pushed back 6 months (or more) and you’re not sure why! So here’s the deal:
We don’t entirely know why this happens.
The long and the short of it is, we have absolutely no control over Amazon or any bookseller changing their dates on our books. We find it as frustrating as you do. We are working with our bookstore distributor to find a solution, but none has been immediately forthcoming.
What I can tell you is, while we have no control over Amazon, we do try to keep our own site as up-to-date as possible: http://www.udonentertainment.com/blog/schedule/
So! Any time you aren’t sure about a date, or a prospective release, or you’re updated by an online seller that a date has been pushed back, please just check that link and you’ll see the most up-to-date release info we have for you.
